Brick Temples (two)
Description
Temple No. 1 is partly built in bricks on a low plinth. It consists of a square sanctum roofed by a pyramidal sikhara and decorated with chaitya dormers. The walls are embellished with two registers of sculptures. It was originally devoted to Siva. The pillars are decorated with ghatapallava motif. Temple No.2 is square on plan with domed roof and simple walls. It is situated on a mound and has been extensively restored damaging its ancient character. The temple is dedicated to Mahishasurmardini and was originally constructed during the 10th Century A.D.
